If you strictly follow the instruction procedures, you can preserve the wine in the Preserve Bottle at least 15 days without being oxidized.

The Preserve Bottle can be used in any liquid with the purpose to isolate it with air contact, regardless of any liquor such as whiskey, brandy and wine, or high class olive oil, aged red wine, vinegar or other liquid.

After bottling, you only need to store it in a cool place. If you could store it in a constant low temperature environment, you can even preserve it longer.

The stopper is using different material compare to the cork where you have to keep it moist to isolate air contact, so you can just store the Preserve Bottle vertically.

After being tested by Bureau of Standard, Metrology and Inspection of the Ministry of Economy Affairs, it is regarded a food-grade safety product. It has also passed the TÜV Rheinland test, the renowned EC testing standard using the most stringent LFBG food inspection. It absolutely does not release any harmful substances that would affect the human body.

There are two possible reasons: 1. You had pushed the stopper in too quickly, preventing the remaining air in the bottle to escape. While pushing the stopper in the opening slowly, we suggest that you give it a little twist to allow the air in the bottle to escape along the tiny slits. 2. The stopper comes in two-stage design. There might be a possibility that the plug had already swollen before you pushed in opening and so was unable to do so. The solution is to twist the stopper slightly to allow the plug to resume its original state. You would be able to push it in the opening then.

As the PreserveBottle is currently hand-made, it may catch in some air bubbles in the wall of the bottle, but it will not affect the preservation period at all.
